1 Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 2:14
….He himself likewise partook of the same things (flesh and blood), that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,”
Why do you still fear Satan? Why are you still fearful of his daily torments and temptations?
Maybe you do not fear him personally, but you do fear his crafty abilities to scheme against you, and all the saint of God. His attempt? His aim? It is to bring destruction to the Church and to your home. Every saint has experienced this to some degree.
We fight and war with friends. We bicker with each other. And we believe ancient lies about God.
Satan whispers “Did God really say?” “Will he really take care of you?” “Are you really good enough for heaven?” “Your children will never learn.” “You’re not good enough to have any friends.”
How do we fight this daily evil?
The cross of Christ is our only weapon in this war. You say “there is the Word, and prayer, and other spiritual weapons.” Are these anything apart from the cross of Christ? Can prayer prevail if Christ didn’t prevail over death first? Is the Word anything if it had not become human flesh in order that He might die and rise again?
There is absolutely nothing more able to properly steer your heart and mind back to trusting God for all things, than the cross. The death of Christ on Calvary crushed Satan. The very power of death has been defeated there. Lies were revealed. Darkness was scattered. Discouragement has been vanquished.
Cling to His victory every day!
Go back to that place. Go there in faith. It is needful, Oh so needful for you, if you are to win the daily battles too.
