No peace in the perilous times. Hardships like endless daggers. No relief. Grief adding to the grief that exists in every man from birth; the sinful human nature. No assurance. No true love. No eternal hope.
This is Life without Jesus.
You’ve heard it said “No Jesus, no peace.” Well it’s true. Jesus is light to the darkness, hope to the hopeless, and peace for the utterly broken heart. The Christ-less life is a lifeless life. Yes, you can live and still be dead. The majority of the world lives this way.
With Jesus though, life is good. Don’t kid yourself. It’s amazing! It’s great! Not great in terms of what you possess or your earthly relationships, but great because you’re good with God, the Maker of all things. In Jesus, sins are forgiven. No more guilt. Heaven is your destiny. With Jesus you are accepted and your heart is full. Your heart is His. Your will is His. Your joy and peace are His greatest concern, because in this He is glorified. In fact, He made it His greatest concern by dying for you. His death means abundance of life, real life, even here.
Through belief, man can die to the endless pursuits of this world, and live to true happiness in God, a happiness that He pursued, bled for, died, and rose again to secure.
Life without Him is simply…well, the Apostle John said it best – “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.” 1 John 5:12
