John 8:32 & 34 “and the Truth will set you free” “So then if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed”
There are only two kinds of people on earth, the free (none are born this way) and the enslaved (all are born this way).
Proverbs 5:22 “The iniquities of the wicked ensnare him, and he is held fast in the cords of his sin.”
The truly free are those whom Christ sets free in the knowledge of His truth, the truth of His cross, and there they remain for ever. The rest are slaves to the Devil. Their wills are ever ruled by sin until Christ breaks them loose. Only Jesus can end such bondage. Believe and be free indeed, free to abide in Him, in all the joy which comes from forgiveness and guilt-less-ness. Remain in His words and in all He has testified. Don’t doubt or look back, but seek Him in everything. Do not become entangled again with the world.
Psalm 119:133 Keep steady my steps according to your promise,
and let no iniquity get dominion over me.
